When To Have a Roof Inspected

1. Before and after winter

   The Chicago standard. Autumn to catch problems before the freeze; spring to find what the freeze did. This is the single highest-value maintenance habit for a roof in this climate.

2. After any significant storm

   Wind and hail damage is usually invisible from the ground, and insurance claim windows do not stay open indefinitely.

3. Before buying a property

   A roof is one of the largest expenses you can inherit. We give you remaining life, condition and a repair estimate you can take into negotiation.

4. On a schedule, for commercial buildings
